EPS Nominations at Anna Pharmacy Group

Anna Pharmacy Group accepts nominations for the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This allows your GP surgery to send your NHS prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy you choose.

EPS is widely used across England and helps make managing repeat prescriptions simpler and more convenient.

What Is the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)?

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS system that allows prescriptions to be sent securely from your GP surgery to a nominated pharmacy using the NHS network. Instead of receiving a paper prescription, your prescription is sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy, where it can be prepared for collection once it has been received.

How EPS Works for You

If you nominate Anna Pharmacy Group:

  • Your GP can send eligible NHS prescriptions electronically.
  • You do not usually need to collect a paper prescription from the surgery.
  • The pharmacy can receive your prescription directly through the NHS system.
EPS is commonly used for repeat prescriptions, but your GP will decide whether EPS is suitable for each prescription.

Yes. You are free to change your nominated pharmacy at any time. You can do this by:
  • Speaking to a member of the pharmacy team.
  • Asking your GP surgery to update your nomination.
You remain in control of which pharmacy receives your prescriptions.

How to Nominate Anna Pharmacy Group

You can nominate Anna Pharmacy Group by:

  • Speaking to our pharmacy team in person.
  • Asking your GP surgery to set or update your nomination.

In some cases, a simple consent form may be required. Our team can guide you through the process and answer any questions.

Important Information

  • EPS is an NHS service and is subject to NHS rules and eligibility.
  • Not all prescriptions can be sent electronically.
  • Prescriptions are issued at the discretion of your GP or prescriber.
  • You can still request a paper prescription if EPS is not suitable.
